Merrill, Wisconsin, was among the earliest cities in Wisconsin to use electrically powered street cars. This book tells the history of the privately owned Merrill Railway and Lighting Company, which operated a 1 5/8 mile trolley line from 1890 until 1921, including one of the first 'trackless trolleys' in the U.S.
