Includes a sound chip which plays recorded bird sounds when activated by pressing a "button" on various pages. Some pages include "Lift-the-flap" cutouts where the artist's interpretation of a bird is shown with a photograph of the bird.

Describes the habitats of various birds and presents an illustration of one of the bird's eyes, along with a button to hear the sounds made by the bird. Turing to the next page will identify the bird, give more descriptive information about its behavior, and show a full photograph of the bird, with a lift-the-flap section of the eye that show's the artist's illustration underneath the photograph. Includes a common loon, a ring-necked pheasant, a wood duck, a snowy owl, and a turkey vulture.
